An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Event Manager to join New Zealand's largest international humanitarian organisation World Vision.

 

Sitting in our Marketing team, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of events across a broad portfolio including Church, Philanthropy, Retail channels, and the World Vision 40 Hour Famine events portfolio as well as World Vision internal events.  Leading a small team and managing a cross section of supplier relationships to deliver events against leads and acquisition targets.

 

Key responsibilities are:

 

  • Lead cross functional project teams to deliver across a wide-ranging event portfolio.
  • Manage agency and supplier relationships to ensure best cost and quality outcomes are achieved and continuous improvement is maintained.
  • Brief and manage the creation and production of all event elements.
  • Responsible for all event logistics including travel, venue hire, AV and catering etc
  • Work closely with channel team leads and external agencies to ensure a broad range of events can be delivered simultaneously.
  • Provide day to day management and leadership.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have the following:


  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar position within a complex organisation 
  • Strong leadership and team management background  
  • Experience working and leading, cross-functionally to deliver.
  • Comfortable with resource management, ideally with experience managing resources of all creative disciplines in-house and agency contracts.
  • Experience in fundraising events a bonus
