Job Description 

 

This pivotal role will assist in achieving World Vision NZ’s revenue targets, by building a new donor-centric mid-level giving program that connects people’s passion with our shared purpose. As a natural business developer, you will use appropriate telephone sales, plus some account management and engagement techniques, to build this new program. Donor contact will be primarily by phone and will involve growing relationships with existing supporters to increase giving. 

 

Key goals include driving strategy, meeting your team’s income targets, relationship building, and optimising the supporter experience. You will also tailor communications and create donor-centred journeys. Strategically placed within the organisation, you will build cross organisational relationships to leverage content, navigate CRM databases, and move supporters in their journey with World Vision.


 
Key responsibilities are to:  

  • Line manage one direct line report
  • Drive direction and execute Mid-Tier strategy to grow supporter base
  • Inspire mid-value giving from supporters over the phone
  • Research on giving patterns for cultivation purposes
  • Supporting in packaging up charity programs to then pitch membership products
  • Feed into Supporter Journeys that offer meaningful experiences that surprise and delight our mid-tier givers.
  • Work with Major Donor Fundraising Colleagues in identifying and cultivating new major donor prospects
  • Work with DM team to review supporter base, lift content and share insights
  • Develop customized phone-based relationships, including introduction and warming strategies
  • Work with other internal teams such as international programs to plan out mini campaigns / personalised supporter materials such as reports, to drive mid-level fundraising
  • Utilise other modes of communication to build a strong relationship including email, direct mail, face-to-face, event invitations, personal notes and more.
  • Develop stewardship program of thanking to create an elevated donor experience
  • Daily use of the database to keep donor records up to date and coordinating Mid-Tier lists

 

 

Qualifications/Experience 

  • 6+yrs fundraising telesales and or account management experience
  • Demonstrated success working within a business development environment
  • Proven track record of delivering against agree targets and deadlines
  • Proven success in delivering on strategy or cross organisational projects
  • Line management experience
  • Highly developed communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organisational skills and a self starter
