If you’re ready for a role with purpose, join our External Affairs team as the PR and Media Advisor to inspire and engage New Zealanders with work of World Vision through a broad range of media and PR activity.

What will you do?

• Plan, manage, and deliver both media and PR activity to support and amplify the World Vision 40 Hour Famine, Smiles, and other World Vision fundraising campaigns.
• Develop and implement innovative PR initiatives to generate celebrity and influencer engagement with World Vision’s work
• Help implement and manage World Vision’s celebrity and influencer strategy, including relationship management
• Pitch stories and content to media outlets across a wide range of issues, including World Vison’s advocacy work and humanitarian emergencies.
• Write press releases, key messages, and respond to media queries
• Develop unique and innovative PR initiatives to target influencers to amplify World Vision’s work.

What will you bring?

• A degree in communications, journalism or PR
• Experience working with influencers and celebrities to promote campaigns/products
• A can-do attitude and an innovative approach to PR to amplify World Vision’s work among celebrities and influencers.
• Excellent writing and media liaison skills
• Experience developing and delivering media and PR campaigns
• A team player with strong interpersonal skills who is able to work strategically to amplify organisational values
• Ability to multi-task, self-manage and work to tight deadlines
