Are you wanting to work with numbers while helping impact the lives of millions in a meaningful way? A fantastic opportunity has opened up in our Finance Team for a Financial Accountant, to cover a maternity leave, based in our Auckland Office, in Penrose.

Working in our Finance team, and reporting to the Finance Director, you will be primarily responsible for preparing monthly and annual accounts, reconciliation, management reporting and payroll. There is some involvement in budgeting and rolling forecasting processes, as well as supporting department managers to understand and manage their costs.

With annual receipts of circa of $60m and activities in 28 regions around the world, WVNZ is a large, complex organisation with a need for high quality accounting support.

Your background and experience should include:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • Exposure to monthly accounting processes in a medium–large organisation
  • At least 3+ years’ experience in an accounting related role
  • Payroll experience (preferred)
  • Strong computer literacy including a transactional accounting system and good Excel skills
  • Good work ethic, self-motivated, can get on with a job without constant supervision, good common sense and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal positively with all levels of the organisation
  • Some further study in a relevant accounting qualification accounting qualification (preferred)
